James Gunn's special Groot script for Vin Diesel

Director James Gunn has introduced a special script for actor Vin Diesel's role as Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".

Gunn provided Diesel with his special Groot version of the script to help the muscled actor know the true meaning behind the inflection variations, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The character Groot is limited to five words which includes "I am", "We are" and "Groot". Rocket Racoon is the only one who can interpret what the tree-like character says since he has been around Groot the longest in "Guardians of the Galaxy".

Gunn took to Instagram on Friday to share an image featuring the special screenplay which only him and Diesel have.

"This is the special Groot version of the script that only Vin Diesel and I have, where every Groot line is printed in English instead of Groot, so Vin will know what the various 'I am Groot's mean. I love putting this thing together," Gunn posted on the photo-sharing website.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" also sees the return of actors Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Michael Rooker who are set to reprise their roles.

They are joined by Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell, Tommy Flanagan and Sylvester Stallone. The second "Guardians of the Galaxy" film is scheduled to release next year.
