The Jammu and Kashmir assembly was adjourned on Tuesday after a journalist collapsed inside the press gallery while reporting the proceedings of the house.
Shyam Sunder, a reporter for local television news channel TakeOne, collapsed in his chair inside the press gallery of the state assembly and was immediately removed to a hospital.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta adjourned the house for ten minutes, asking members to pray for the speedy recovery of the journalist.
Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh advised doctors at the super specialty Jammu Medical College Hospital to inform whether the journalist needs to be shifted outside the state for treatment, costs for which would be borne by the state government.
