Music producer-singer Jay Z is reportedly going to sell his share worth $500,000 in the basketball team Brooklyn Nets.

Although his stake is very small and equal to 0.67 percent, he has decided to sell it to coach Jason Kidd, reports New York Post newspaper.

"Other owners want to give Jason a part ownership of the team, and urged Jay to sell his shares to him," a source said.

Jay Z has been actively involved in the running of the New York-based team so far.
