Film enthusiasts in Kerala Sunday fondly remembered Jayan - the first-ever macho man of Malayalam filmdom - on his death anniversary.
On this day 34 years ago, the actor died while attempting a daredevil stunt. Jayan continues to be one of Malayalam superstars who command a timeless onscreen vibrancy that cuts across generations.
He acted in 124 films starting from 1972.
Among his major hits were "Angadi", "Moorken", "Manushyamrigam" and "Chakara".
Even after three decades, people and the media in Kerala still talk about him. This clearly shows that Jayan will continue to be remembered, said a film enthusiast.
