All good things must end. The much-talked about affair between Jemima Khan and comedian Russell Brand, described as "tiger ride", has reportedly come to end too.
With her impressive social connections and elegance, Jemima always seemed an unlikely catch for Brand. And romancing each other for a year, the pair has gone their separate ways, reports dailymail.co.uk.
A source said: "The relationship has simply run its course."
During their time together, Jemima, 40, and Brand, 39, regularly appeared at society events in between tête-à-têtes at the city's best restaurants and walks with Jemima's beloved white Alsatian, Brian.
There was even talk of a wedding on the horizon. But sources close to Jemima's family confirmed that she is single once more.
Neither side was keen to speak about the break-up, although friends claimed that Jemima was the driving force behind the couple's final split last month.
In a sign of the times, they have now 'unfollowed' one another on Twitter. This could suggest a whiff of acrimony, although Jemima has always remained friendly with her ex-flames, including Hugh Grant and her former husband, Imran Khan.
Some family members are said to see the split as the end of a "tiger ride".
