Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday directed officials to complete the formation of a land bank so that investors can set up industries in the state, paving the way for dozens of pending steel and power projects.
"In a review meeting on Wednesday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed officials to complete the process of setting up a land bank, which is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 5 next year," an official press release said.
"The purpose of setting up the land bank is to provide land to investors in order to establish industries in the state," it added.
More than two dozen major steel and power projects are pending for more than 10 years.
In another review meeting, Das directed the tourism, art, culture, sports and youth affairs department to form hockey and football teams in villages and release funds for them.
