Exquisite kuchai silk products - made from the trademark silk of Jharkhand - are being showcased at an exhibition here.
Both traditional and modern designs made from silk from across the country like Muga, Tussar and Baluchari are also on display at the "Kuchai Silk Expo 2013" that began here Wednesday.
"There are silk ties, kurtas, kurtis, sarees, table-ware and other items on display. Forty-four stalls have been set up. The exhibition will move to other cities after its Kolkata leg gets over Sep 1," said a spokesperson of the Jharkhand Silk Textile and Handicraft Development Corporation Ltd (Jharcraft).
The expo will travel to Ranchi, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai in the later part of the year.
