Munda, in a written reply to JMM chief Shibu Soren, had Thursday said that when the government was formed in September 2010, there was no agreement on rotation of power after completion of 28 months, said a source in the chief minister's Office.
The government completes 28 months June 10.
The source, quoting the letter, said the issue was agreed upon only in May 2010 when Shibu Soren was the chief minister, but BJP was not handed over power.
After four months, when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the new government, no agreement on rotation of power took place, the letter said.
"We have received the reply. We will discuss the letter in a party meeting on January 6 and 10," Hemant Soren, the deputy chief minister and son of Shibu Soren, told reporters Friday.
The JMM had sought a written reply from Munda on seven points, including the power-rotation issue.
In 2009, after no party won majority in the Jharkhand assembly elections, JMM and BJP jointly formed the government with Shibu Soren as chief minister.
In May 2010, BJP withdrew its support and the government fell. Then in September, the BJP formed a government headed by Arjun Munda with the support of JMM's 18 legislators.
BJP also has 18 legislators and enjoys the support of six All Jharkhand Students Union and two Janata Dal-United legislators in the 82-member assembly.
If JMM walks away, the Munda government will be reduced to a minority.
