Director Joe Kosinski is in talks to direct Leonardo DiCaprio's "Twilight Zone" movie.

The 39-year-old is in final negotiations to take over the project, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

DiCaprio and his business partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce the film adaptation of sci-fi icon Rod Serling's cult TV series, which ran from 1959 to 1964 and then again from 1985 to 2002, and spawned a 1983 film.

Kosinski, who won acclaim as the director of Tom Cruise's "Oblivion", will currently film a "Tron" sequel for Disney.
