Bhubaneswar, May 28 IANS) A journalist was stabbed to death in Khallikote town of Odisha's Ganjam district Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.
Police have formed teams and launched a manhunt to nab the killers, police official S. Toppo told IANS.
According to him, some people brutally attacked 35-year-old Tarun Kumar Acharya with sharp edged weapons in a lonely place when he was riding a motorcycle on his way home at Bikrampur, about 15 km away from Khallikote.
Acharya was found dead with his throat slit. He also suffered stab injuries on his chest. He was working as a stringer of a local television channel, he said.
Khallikote town is 120 km from state capital Bhubaneswar.
