The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ceased to hear former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf's bail plea in the judges' detention case Tuesday after one of the judges excused himself from the hearing, Geo News reported.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui stated that he was being targeted by a social media smear campaign against him and, therefore, he did not think it was appropriate for him to continue hearing the case.
Since a new bench will have to be constituted for hearing the case, the matter has been sent to the chief justice of the Islamabad High Court.
