Actress Julia Roberts' half-sister Nancy Motes is dead. She reportedly died of drug overdose.
Motes was found dead here Feb 9. She was 37.
According to eonline.com, a representative of Roberts said in a statement: "It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Motes...confirms that she was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday of an apparent drug overdose."
"There is no official report from the Coroner's office yet. The family is both shocked and devastated," the representative added.
In the wake of the tragic news, Roberts, who is nominated in the best supporting actress category for her performance in "August: Osage County", pulled out of the Oscars luncheon Feb 10, to be with family, her representative said.
Motes had worked as a production assistant on "Glee", and was planning to marry her fiance, John Dilbeck, in May.
