Justice Kalpesh Satyendra Jhaveri was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court here on Sunday.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath at a ceremony held in the Orissa High Court.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior officials were present.
Justice Jhaveri was appointed to the post following the elevation of Justice Vineet Saran as a Supreme Court judge along with Justice K.M. Joseph and Justice Indira Banerjee.
Prior to this, Justice Jhaveri was a Judge at the Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Jhaveri was elevated as a Gujarat High Court Judge in March 2004 and confirmed as a permanent Judge in June 2005. He was then transferred to the Rajasthan High Court in August 2016.
