Justin Lin to direct third 'Star Trek' film

Filmmaker Justin Lin, known for directing some of the instalments of "Fast & Furious", will helm the third "Star Trek" movie.

Lin will replace Roberto Orci, who exited the project earlier this month, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

The first two films in the "Star Trek" franchise were directed by J.J. Abrams.
