A group of 23 students from Uri district of Jammu and Kashmir are on a four-day trip to Kolkata as part of a national integration tour organised by the army.
The students interacted with senior officers at the Eastern Command Headquarters here, a defence ministry release said Thursday.
The pupils seemed ecstatic about their planned visits to iconic landmarks of Kolkata, including Victoria Memorial, Eden Gardens, Science City and Netaji Bhawan, among others.
General-Officer-Commanding Bengal Area, Lt. Gen. A.K. Choudhary, Wednesday asked the students to share their experiences about the progress and development of the eastern metropolis with their parents, friends and relatives upon their return.
