AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal will move to a rented house from the one which was allotted to him after he became Delhi chief minister.

"I have finally decided upon a house offered by Sh. Naren Jain in Civil Lines area. Thanks Naren ji," Kejriwal tweeted Friday.

The house, which is in a "dilapidated" state, was lying abandoned for the past nine years, Naren Jain, son of Congress leader Bhiku Ram Jain, told IANS.

Located in the Civil Line, where many of Delhi's bureaucrats live on colonial-era houses, the one-storey house -- 4b Flagstaff Road -- has four rooms and one dinning hall.

At present, Kejriwal is living in his government house in New Delhi's Tilak Lane which was allotted to him after he became the chief minister. The Aam Aadmi Party chief overstayed in the house, citing his daughter's exams.

Though the rent is yet be decided, Jain said he will not charge more from Kejriwal.

"The house is in a very bad condition. Repair work needs to be done and it will take around a fortnight," he said.
