Kerala intelligence chief Mohammed Yasin on Wednesday found himself in an embarrassing situation when he mistook a state minister for the latter's Cabinet colleague.
Yasin, an Additional Director General of Police, went to Revenue Minister E. Chandrasekharan's residence at around 7.30 a.m. and as the minister came out to meet him, the senior IPS officer asked if he was Agriculture Minister Sunil Kumar.
A baffled minister then asked a staff member to guide Yasin to the residence of his party and Cabinet colleague Sunil Kumar.
Confirming the goof-up, the Revenue Minister told reporters that such a mistake should not have occurred, especially on part of a senior intelligence officer.
State Police chief Loknath Behra assured of action in the case after a probe.
