A Kerala official has been invited by the United States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) in August.
Kerala State Women's Development Corporation Managing Director P.T.M. Sunish is one of the 25 participants from 22 countries who will attend the programme, to be held across the US.
The theme of this year's programme is "Change makers: The impact of Social Entrepreneurs in the US".
Sunish is the CEO of Gender Park, an initiative of the department of social justice, government of Kerala and the live wire behind REACH - a professional grooming academy for girls.
He won the "Responsible Business of the Year" Award 2014 of World CSR Foundation for She-Taxi - India's first 24X7 women-owned, women-operated cab service for women, that was launched by Gender Park.
IVLP is one of the US government's most prestigious professional exchange programme. It will examine the rise of social entrepreneurship in the US and how innovation can drive social and environmental change.
