Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players took to Twitter on Saturday to express how they felt just after an earthquake hit the city in the morning.
The city felt the tremors at around 11.41 a.m. which continued for two minutes and then felt another quake at 12.19 p.m.
"My first experience of an earthquake!Kolkata went frm sultry to AC like weather in 2 mins. 6.4 on the Richter scale here.A serious reminder," tweeted opening batsman Robin Uthappa.
Skipper Gautam Gambhir said he was praying for the well being of the masses. "Strong earthquake, felt here in Kolkata as well. Hope all of u and ur families r safe. Praying for ur wellbeing."
South African pacer Morne Morkel felt the tremors and posted: "Nature just gave us a friendly reminder.. Hope everybody is okay.. Live life to the fullest."
The earthquake, whose epicentre was in Nepal, has resulted in a death toll of over 900 in the Indian subcontinent with most casualties in the Himalayan nation.
