US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann will miss the CONCACAF Gold Cup final, according to the decision from the organisation's disciplinary committee.
Klinsmann got ejected in the 87th minute of the Gold Cup football semifinal match for yelling, gesturing and throwing a ball in the direction of the referee, reports Xinhua.
The US went on to beat Honduras 3-1.
Klinsmann apologised for his mistake in the news conference after the match, but he still got suspended for one match.
"It's always good to have him on the bench, but he'll give his wisdom before the game and make sure we get off on the right foot," said US captain Damarcus Beasley.
"But it's not going to be the same not seeing his face on the sideline, giving us instructions when we need it and being the enthusiastic person that he is on the bench."
US faces Panama in the Gold Cup final Sunday.
