Lazio striker Miroslav Klose will be out of action for two weeks due to a minor foot surgery.

The striker went to Munich Wednesday to see a specialist and a decision to operate was taken immediately, the club said Thursday. The German international had suffered a relapse of an inflammation around the metatarsal bones in his right foot, reports Xinhua.

The centre-forward will return to action once the international break is over in the hope that he will feature against Atalanta Oct 20.

Meanwhile, Etrit Berisha suffered a thigh strain Wednesday which will be assessed again at the start of next week.
