Kolkata actor held for raping aspiring actress

A city-based actor-photographer on Saturday was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing an aspiring actress, police said.

Following a complaint by the victim, Aniket Dawn was arrested on charges of rape and criminal intimidation.

According to the police complaint, Dawn, on the pretext of giving the woman a role in a movie, raped her on several occasions. He also allegedly blackmailed her, threatening to upload her personal photographs.
