Poets from India and nine other countries, including Italy, South Africa and China, will regale enthusiasts through a series of reading sessions at the ninth edition of World Poetry Festival (WPF) here.
Eminent Indian litterateurs and poets like Nabaneeta Dev Sen, Kusum Khemani, Tarun Sanyal and Shyam Singh Sashi and well-known writers from different parts of the world will participate at the event beginning Jan 2.
"There will be poetry reading sessions and seminars Jan 3 and Jan 4. More than 25 participants from across the world will read out their work," WPF president Asish Sanyal told IANS.
The three-day festival is organised by International Bengali Poetry Festival with financial support from the union department of culture and Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad.
Poets will debate and discuss on topics related to translating poetry and cross-cultural exchanges.
