Music enthusiasts in the national capital will experience a close encounter with Korean music at a two-day exposition over the weekend, it was announced here on Tuesday.
The Korean Cultural Centre, India, is organising two projects Dream Project and preliminary rounds of K-Pop Delhi -- a modern form of South Korean pop music that includes dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic, rock and hip-hop -- on July 30 and July 31 at the auditorium of the centre here.
The Korean National University of Arts (KNUA) has brought Dream Project to life through Korean Cultural Centre India to promote music and cater to the musical needs of aspiring Indian musicians. Korean Cultural Centre, India has already been organising the programme since 2014.
The project strengthens India-Korea diplomatic relations and unites the musicians of KNUA and India to promote music. KNUA will audition the music lovers who love to play violin, guitar, and piano and also those who love to sing.
As many as six musicians of KNUA are selected and sent for the project to India. They will select and train the participants for 10 days in their respective paths.
"With Dream Project, we see the power of music melting the differences of boundaries of people and bringing us together. Music's ability to unite people across different background is always an amazing and uplifting experience which brings us together," Kim Kum-Pyoung, director of Korean Cultural Centre, India, said in a statement.
