Indians Kush Kumar, Mahesh Mangaonkar and Joshna Chinappa moved into the quarter-finals of the $15,000 Victorian Open squash tournament here on Thursday.
However, 12th seed Sachika Ingale lost to sixth seed Amanda Landers Murphy of New Zealand 11-7, 11-2, 11-2 in the women's section while Joshna was in fine touch as she made short work of Selena Shaikh of Australia 11-5, 11-5, 11-2.
In the men's section, unseeded Kush, a trainee at the Indian Squash Academy, kept his hopes alive with another encouraging display against Kashif Shuja of New Zealand while winning 8-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3.
Even more pronounced was Mangaonkar's form as he swept aside Joshua Larkins of Australia 11-5, 11-6, 11-7.
