Actor Lakeith Stanfield has reportedly joined the cast of "The Girl in the Spiders Web", the sequel to "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo".
The thriller also stars Claire Foy as Lisbeth Salander, Sylvia Hoeks as Salander's twin sister, and Claes Bang as the villain. The film's production will commence this month in Berlin and Stockholm, reports variety.com.
"The Girl in the Spider's Web" is slated to release in October this year. It will be directed by Fede Alvarez, who helmed 2016's "Don't Breathe".
The screenplay of the project, based on David Lagercrantz's bestseller, has been co-penned by Steven Knight with the team of Alvarez and Jay Basu.
