Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday denied that he called Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi a "joker", and said that he made the reference of joker to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwash.
Lalu said this in his latest post on Facebook.
"Maine joker shabd Rahul Gandhi ke liye nahin, balki Kumar Vishwash ke liye ishtemal kiya tha. Media ne mere bayan ko tod marod pesh kiya." (I did not call Rahul Gandhi a joker, I used the term for Kumar Vishwash. The media misreported my quote.)
Lalu said that media persons put a question to him about AAP leader Kumar Vishwash, and while he was replying to it, they also asked a question in connection with Rahul Gandhi.
"I have used the joker word for Kumar Vishwash but the media has linked it with a wrong question," he said.
Lalu posted details of his talks with media persons in Mathura during his visit there.
