A supporter of RJD leader Lalu Prasad collapsed and died after a court jailed the former Bihar chief minister to five years in prison while another fan is on a protest fast.
Bantilal Sah, 70, of Basantpur Utri village in Muzaffarpur district died of cardiac arrest Thursday after news flashed that Lalu Prasad had been jailed in the fodder scam, a fellow villager said.
"He was watching TV and suddenly collapsed and died," villager Vijay Kumar Singh said. Sah had returned to his village Thursday after meeting Lalu Prasad in Ranchi.
Elsewhere, Rama Rai, 50, a resident of Datra Pursauli village in Saran district, has been on hunger strike since Monday, said villager Maheshwar Choudhary.
