Singer Miranda Lambert showed off a real fur coat that she received as a present from her grandmother, but not all her fans were happy about her gift.
She flaunted the new gift on Instagram on Saturday.
"I'm so fancy? You already know," she captioned the photograph, quoting Iggy Azalea's hit song "Fancy", reports usmagazine.com.
"My Nonny gave me two of her fur coats! I definitely know where I got my love for DIAMONDS, FUR and WHISKEY! #familytradition #grandmatreasures #besthandmedownever #wandathewanderer #bringitwinter."
In the photograph, the 32-year-old looks all warm and snuggled up in a floor-length fur, black boots, and a beige beanie.
Lambert's excitement over her new apparel didn't impress everyone, however.
Immediately after posting the snapshot, the "Little red wagon" singer was bombarded with messages blasting her decision to wear fur.
"Sorry, I love you dearly, but I don't agree with this," one commenter wrote. "I don't agree with animals dying for coats."
Quipped another user wrote, "Not cool for animal lover Miranda."
Lambert didn't address the criticisms directly, but did follow up her initial post with another one, of herself with her grandmother and a photograph close-up of the lining of the coat, which features her grandmother's name, Wanda Coker.
"Her name embroidered inside is priceless," she captioned the second post. "A family heirloom I will cherish forever. I'm so thankful for her and all the things I have learned from her. Nonny is strong, beautiful, feisty and most of all, loving. #grandmatreasures #diamondsfurandwhiskey #wandathewanderer."
