Lauding skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy skills, former India cricketer V.V.S. Laxman Sunday said the Indian team is working in the right direction for the 2015 ICC World Cup.
"Dhoni is a good captain. I am satisfied with the team's performance," Laxman said at the Aakash Institute's annual award ceremony 'Vyom 2013' here.
The middle-order batsman said the "cool and composed" Dhoni is steering the squad in the correct manner.
"He is properly managing the team. The team's performance in the recently concluded tri-series in West Indies is an indication that it is working in the right direction for the forthcoming World Cup," said Laxman, also showering praise on opener Shikhar Dhawan.
The 37-year-old Laxman announced his retirement from international cricket almost a year back.
