Legendary trainer Fritz Sdunek, who coached Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Vitali Klitschko among others, has passed away at the age of 67 in Hamburg.
The Association of German professional Boxers (BDB) confirmed that Sdunek, who was one of the most successful and famous German coaches, died following a heart attack Monday, reports Xinhua.
"I am totally shocked. The boxing world has lost a great personality," BDB president Thomas Puetz said.
The German boxing coach trained, among others, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, Felix Sturm, Ola Afolabi and Dariusz Michaelczewski.
He joined Universum Box-Promotion in 1994 before he retracted in 2010 due to health problems.
