Leicester City's record signing, Algerian forward Islam Slimani has joined Turkish football outfit Fenerbahçe on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old had joined the Foxes in the summer of 2016 on a transfer from Sporting Lisbon for 30 million pounds ($38 million), becoming the most expensive player in Leicester's history, reports Efe.
At Leicester, Slimani's game time has decreased since he has fallen behind other attackers, Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho, Shinji Okazaki and Fousseni Diabate.
"Leicester City striker Islam Slimani has joined Turkish top-flight side Fenerbahçe on loan for the 2018/19 season," Leicester said in a statement.
Slimani will compete for a place in his new team's starting lineup with Spain's Roberto Soldado, 33, and Turkey's Ahmethan Kose, 22.
