Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari looked stunning as she walked the ramp here Sunday for designer Anita Dongre showcasing her brands "AND" and "Global Desi" in her new fabric "Liva" at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2013.
Aditi was wearing an ethnic printed spaghetti top and a multi-coloured long skirt.
"I am so happy to be associated with Global Desi and be wearing this garment which is fabulous. It breathes and gives you this sense of freedom. It also accentuates your body. It is flowy and is the perfect fabric of today," she told the media after the show.
Dongre showcased a wide variety of trendy dresses, jumpsuits and skirts in stylish patterns in bright colours under her brand, "AND" while "Global Desi" had long gowns, jumpsuits and stylish saris with jackets with ethnic designs.
The line on "Global Desi" started in a unique manner with six dancers dressed in coloured hooded jackets and pants dancing to a peppy number, after which the fashion show followed.
"This is my second collection with Liva. The response which we have been getting for the fabric is amazing. Women all over have loved the fabric," said Dongre.
"It doesn't crush at all... it is very comfortable and is ideal for Indian summer."
For the show, Dongre's line, "Global Desi" was styled in Liva, but she plans to extend this to "AND" as well.
"I will be making a liva line for AND as well. The fabric is very versatile and it all depends on how you style it," she said.
