One Direction star Liam Payne says he has a phobia of eating from unclean spoons and avoids dining with cutlery that's not his own.
Payne is always worried that spoons in restaurants and other people's homes are not clean, so he refuses to use them when dining, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
In an interview with radio station Capital FM, he said: "I'm not so much scared of spoons, I'll hold one. But I don't like eating with them, if they're not my spoons, if that makes sense. It is a bit weird."
Payne 's spoon aversion stems from a punishment he received as a school child when he was made to wash the entire school's cutlery.
