Singer Liam Payne reportedly made a sizeable donation to his girlfriend Cheryl's charity as a gift for her 33rd birthday.
According to a source, Cheryl was "taken aback" by the One Direction singer, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"Cheryl was taken aback by the gesture. She genuinely wasn't expecting it and was truly touched. It was an easy choice for Liam, he knew it was the right thing to do," a source told The Sun newspaper.
Payne had also reportedly purchased a diamond ring for Cheryl's birthday.
The couple started dating eight months ago.
However, they have to wait for their wedding till the time Cheryl's divorce from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini is finalised as they are locked in a battle over finances.
Cheryl and Fernandez-Versini got married in 2014 and split from each other late last year
