Parts of the city and the National Capital Region on Wednesday received light rains, with the weather office predicting thunderstorm with hail later in the day.
The mercury though remained unaffected as the minimum temperature was recorded at 14.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
"Clouds will partly cover the sky throughout the day with the development of thunder and lightning along with hail towards the evening," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature was expected to hover around 24 degrees Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 96 per cent.
The city witnessed 1.6mm rainfall in the past 24 hours, the IMD said.
The minimum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the maximum reached 24.5 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
