Lok Sabha speaker suspends 27 Congress members

Under Article 374 A, the MPs were found disturbing the Parliament

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Monday suspended 27 Congress members for five days for "willfully obstructing the business of the house".

Lok Sabha got adjourned for the day after the suspension. Speaker used Article 374 A to suspend 27 MPs.

A combative Sonia Gandhi today rejected government's offer of Prime Minister's intervention on Lalitgate and Vyapam issues in Parliament to break the impasse, insisting that those responsible for "gross wrong-doings" should first resign.
