Lulu Group to open Cold Stone Creamery outlets in India, Sri Lanka

Dubai-based Lulu Group' food and beverage entity, Tablez Food Company Pvt.Ltd India, has signed a master franchise agreement with Cold Stone Creamery's franchisor Kahala Franchising LLC to open their world famous super-premium ice cream stores in India and Sri Lanka.

"The first one will open at the LuLu Mall here in November. We are proud, privileged and excited to bring Cold Stone Creamery to India and Sri Lanka. This partnership is in line with our company's vision to introduce constant innovation and enthralling food and beverage concepts in the sub-continent," said Tablez's CEO Shafeena Yusuf Ali, daughter of Lulu Group promoter, M.A.Yusuf Ali, a non-resident Keralite.

The agreement outlines plans for 40 stores in India and five in Sri Lanka of the premium American ice cream concept, which promotes and encourages a fun and friendly experience through personalized Cold Stone Creations, she said.

Kahala Brands senior vice president Eddy Jimenez said that Tablez is a leading F&B company in India and is a perfect fit for the Cold Stone Creamery brand.

Stores of Cold Stone Creamery ice cream, made fresh from the finest ingredients and mixed on a cold granite stone with your choice of candy, cakes, fruits or nuts, are operating in nearly 300 international locations across 26 countries, including UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Trinidad, Nigeria, Egypt and Indonesia.
