A major fire broke out on Monday evening in a slum near the Sadar Bazar area in old Delhi, fire officials said. About 35 fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames.
"A fire call was received at 6.44 p.m., following which 35 fire tenders were rushed to the spot," a fire official told IANS.
"No one was reported injured so far. The exact details can only be given after the flames are doused," the official added.
The cause of the fire is also not yet clear.
Last week, three persons were killed and 14 injured in a fire in a parking lot of a residential building in east Delhi's Mohan Park area.
