West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Sunday shirked off any responsibility over the arrest of entrepreneur Shibaji Panja who accompanied her during her three-day visit to Bangladesh.
Panja, against whom the Delhi Police have issued a look-out notice, was detained at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose international airport here Saturday upon his arrival from Dhaka. He was arrested Sunday.
"There can be a case against a businessman, that is his (Panja's) matter. This is not related to me," Banerjee told reporters over Panja's arrest.
Opposition parties have slammed Banerjee for 'dishonouring the country' by allowing Panja to be part of her delegation to Bangladesh.
