A man was arrested on Thursday after he held a woman hostage at a radio station in Hilversum, the Netherlands, police said.
The man first threatened the woman with a knife and then Later they entered the building of the NPO 3FM station, reports Xinhua news agency.
The nature of the man's relationship with the woman remains unclear.
According to reports by broadcaster NOS, the woman is an NPO employee.
The broadcaster also said that the man had entered the building holding a big knife to her throat and that he had wanted to speak to someone from CNN.
3FM is a Dutch pop and rock radio station controlled by the public broadcaster NPO.
