A man was arrested after a suspicious vehicle was stopped near Buckingham Palace on Monday, the Scotland Yard said.
Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle on Birdcage Walk at the junction with Spur Road at 7.51 a.m., just metres from the palace gates, the UK media reported.
The vehicle, a white Ford Transit, was stopped and the driver was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence, Sky news reported.
The man was later released after Scotland Yard said it was no longer treating the vehicle as suspicious.
Road closures and cordons put in place around the palace while officers assessed the vehicle were later lifted and traffic was allowed back on the affected roads.
