A 21-year-old man was attacked with a kirpan, a ceremonial Sikh dagger, while deboarding a train at a Metro station here Sunday, police said.
Nitin was attacked and injured in the waist at the Patel Chowk Metro station. The attacker Kanwaljeet was nabbed by Central Industrial Security Force personnel and handed over to police.
The victim was taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, where he was stated to be out of danger.
Police said the attack occurred after an argument between the two commuters at the door of the overcrowded train.
