Man gets death for fire that killed eight in China

A 25-year-old man who set fire to a building that killed eight people was Saturday sentenced to death by a court in China.

The court in Taizhou city in Zhejiang province handed down the penalty to Lin Binwei for setting fire to the building Feb 23 to retaliate against a man over a personal conflict, Xinhua reported.

Lin told the court he agreed with the accusation.

He admitted that he took revenge against a man named Liu because he thought his girlfriend was having an affair with Liu.

Liu, the owner of an online shoe shop, stored products in the building.
