A young man has been arrested on the charge of killing a law student in north Delhi last week, police said on Wednesday.
Police said accused Gaurav Chaudhary of Burari was arrested on Tuesday evening from a park in that area.
Gaurav, 23, had allegedly killed Ashish Bhardwaj, 24, a Final Year law student on November 9 when the latter along with his two friends was walking down the Nala Road in Burari.
"Gaurav told police during questioning that he was returning home on a motorcycle on that day when he brawled with Ashish and his friends. He said he fired at Ashish when he and his friends tried to overpower him," Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishi Pal said.
Ashish lived with his relatives in Gurugram and was a student of a law college there, and had come to meet his friends Anup and Himanshu in Burari when he was murdered.
