Man jumps on metro track, killed

A man died at a hospital here after he jumped in front of a metro train and received critical injuries, a metro official said Wednesday.

The incident took place around 9.20 p.m. Tuesday at Noida Sector-18 metro station in Uttar Pradesh and was made known to the media Wednesday.

The man was in his 30s.

"The man suddenly jumped in front of a metro train going towards Dwarka in Delhi. He was badly injured in the incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries late Tuesday night.

"No suicide note was recovered from the spot," said the official.
