India's ace trap shooter Manajit Singh Sandhu jumped to the third spot in the latest International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) world rankings, thanks to his gold at the World Cup in Tucson, Arizona.
The former World Champion jumped 13 places in the ISSF rankings released Thursday.
Manavjit, 37, won the World Cup gold medal last month beating legendary Australian shooter Michael Diamond, a two-time Olympic champion, and Alexei Alipov, also an Olympic gold medallist from Russia.
Among other Indians, Mohammed Asab also jumped one spot at 15th while Ronjan Sodhi dropped eight placeS to 34th in the men's double trap. Ankur Mittal also moved four places up to 42nd.
In the men's 10 metre air rifle, Gagan Narang dropped one place to 13th while Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra was 33rd.
Navyman Sanjeey Rajput also jumped from 11th to 13th while Surendra Singh Rathod was 54th in the men's 50m rifle 3 position event.
