Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Marico announced on Friday that its consolidated net profit in the fourth quarter of 2015-16 rose by 26 percent.
In a regulatory filing, the company said that its consolidated net profit after tax stood at Rs.138 crore for the quarter under review compared to Rs.110.03 crore posted during the corresponding period in 2014-15.
The FMCG business in India achieved a turnover of Rs.986 crore during the quarter and Rs.4,755 crore during the year, a growth of 4 percent and 7 percent respectively over the same period last year, the statement said.
