After opening on a lower note, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Thursday recovered marginally but continued to be on the negative range in the morning session.
The S&P Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was trading down by 32.77 points at 25,790.22 points at 12.13 p.m.
The Sensex after opening at 25,798,05 points, touched a high of 25,811.85 and a low of 25,670.96 points in the morning.
The Sensex scrips that gained are Lupin, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, Dr.Reddy's Laboratories, Cipla while the major losers were Coal India, ONGC, Tata Steel, L&T, Bharti Airtel and Vedanta Ltd.
On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) was going back and forth between negative and positive ranges around noon after opening on a negative note in the morning except for a brief moment.
At 12.14 p.m., the Nifty was trading at 7,846.45 against the previous day's closure of 7,845.95.
The weak trend in Asian stock market dampened the market sentiment was the view expressed by brokers.
