Male leggings or meggings, endorsed by celebrities like Russell Brand and Justin Bieber, is a natural evolution from the skinny jean, say experts.
Brand was clicked in black meggings and he had teamed it up with white socks and sports shoes.
"Meggings are the natural evolution from the skinny jean and the once widespread baggy jean," dailystar.co.uk quoted Tom Hunt, co-founder of sTitch Leggings firm, as saying.
Meggings are popular among celebrities as singer Lenny Kravitz pulled off skin tight leather with knee-high boots, while teen singing sensation Justin Bieber went all white for his performance.
Rapper Kanye West also chose to wear skin tight leather meggings.
"Everyone knows leggings are an incredibly comfortable and stylish garment, why should women have all the fun? As the 21st century man becomes both more metrosexual and well groomed, the once well defined gender fashion barrier is slowly eroding," said Hunt.
